Embracing the amazing

And amazing it is this 3D animated gif from Emilio. Thanx to Raymond Burger I came across triangulation blog with some amazing work!
Emilio about his animation: “Extremity is one of my latest works, is based in tridimensional collages. I used 3D models (bodies) which I found in internet. I cut and organized the extremities to make these loop animations.”

French heraldry

French artist JULES JULIEN created 150 poster with one theme: “All those who imagine they are French, are making a mistake.” – Michel Colucci.
The way I see it is that this is a complaint to the populist politicians, with growing popularity in Europe, who share a xenophobic view of the world. And it’s telling us that it’s an illusion to think that we’re 100% Frensh, or Dutch, for that matter.
The posters are nice serie of iconic designs, a modern translation of traditional heraldry. Love it.

Inspiration-snack #36

From Pixar studio, created by Teddy Newton. “Day & Night” tells the story of how day meets night and how they find similarity where there seemed difference at first. The animation was launched at the Toy Story 3 movie in the cinema.

Enjoy the show, make sure you’ve got your volume pumped up.

Embossed Drawings

This is some work of German artist Simon Schubert I stumbled upon while I was searching for images of folded paper. He uses a folding technique to crate these amazing embossed surrealistic ‘drawings’. Take some time to also have a look at his other work on his website.

Painted pixels

Love the work of Japanese artist Kazuki Takamatsu. You’ve got the feeling you’re looking at computer generated bitmap images, but in fact it’s done in gouache painting technique. Painted on canvas yet an increasable feel of depth. I especially like how the often edgy topics and content are brought in a very clean, dreamy and aesthetic way.

Blue print
