Heineken at the Champions League Finals in London

During a 3-day-build-up to the UEFA Champions League finals 2011 in London, sponsor Heineken dominated the city’s advertising space.
I was asked by Heineken to translate the global ‘open your world’ print campaign into dynamic animations that would enrich and maximize the campaigns impact .
These short videoclips where shown on single- and multiple screens in underground- and train stations all over London. With that taking the full advantage of the digital outdoor media possibilities in the city.

Back again

Man…. it seems ages ago since my last post. OK, without the exaggeration… two months. Well, a lot has happened and here’s the great news: I just started my own business!!!!!!
So, finally, after years of hesitation and indecisiveness the decision is there and I can call myself Owner, CEO, CFO, General Manager, Global Group Creative Director, Head of Sales Devision, Receptionist and Head of Catering of Make It Heppener! (or as Marc Zugerberg of Facebook was going to put on his business card: I’m CEO Bitch)

Wondering what I’m doing? Check my website www.benheppener.nl. This will soon carry my business name Make It Heppener.
It’s been extremely busy (and that’s good news for a start up) so inspirationspam suffered from that. But enough talk about me, let’s get back to the blogging.

Beautiful ugly smokes

A hypothetical project. We all know that smoking is bad and that we probably shouldn’t do it, but how can design help communicate this more effectively to actually change behavior? In the U.K., where cigarette packages already scream out SMOKING CAUSES FATAL LUNG CANCER, a new law is being considered that would eradicate the branding from packs, making all packaging a generic shade of brown or grey.

lovells-lager

Down-under-upside-down-beer. I always like it when brands have the courage to do something really different.
“Lovells Lager was created by two successful, Australian music industry professionals, with a passion for great tasting beer.

Cool new Heineken ad campaign

Heineken (international) posted on its own YouTube channel youtube.com/heineken a new cool ad campaign. It features one main film ‘the entrance’, set in a James Bond-ish atmosphere and 12 films of the co-caracters explaining their relation with the ‘very special guest’ in the main film. The campaign is supporting the new pay-off ‘Open your world’.
Isn’t it great when al things go smoothly and fabulous?

Nike premium print pack-the recycled magazines shoe

And here’s an other Nike sportswear post on inspirationspam, and I’m not even sponsored by them! :-)  Well, it’s to cool to not write about it. I gues they’ve got their marketing right.
This time it’s about the recycled magazines shoes. I like the concept, althoug I doubt it’s the next big step to a 100% sustainable shoe.

On the first day of Christmas…

So, how much does Christmas cost us? Twenty-seven years ago, the chief economist at PNC decided to figure out how much it would cost to buy each of the gifts in “The 12 Days of Christmas“. It has become an economic tradition that continues to this day; The Christmas Price Index.

#WeAreTheDestroyers part6

So now the destroying to create is done, it’s time that the campaign for the Nike destroyer jacket is taken to a mainstream level. Unique (sports) people talking about their drive. A bit boring and disappointing after a promising prologue. The campaign now evolved to ‘more than a game changer’.
