Don’t click it

Since the beginning of internet we’ve learned that to get anywhere we have to use clicks. We got used to the fact that this is the way to navigate trough the interface. But from the technology point of view clicks aren’t really necessary to get from one place to the next. So is it our natural behavior that we click or is it something we’ve gotten used to it over time?
This is a web experiment testing the need of a click. But in this interface you won’t find any buttons. Instead you navigate the content in a different way. It takes a short while to get used to it, but you’ll get the hang of it.

Clever narration

The project WORDS is a collaboration of Everynon and NPRWNYC’s Radiolab. Clever how the story is narrated by visualized words that evolve from one into the next. It graps hold of you and keeps you watching. Very inspiring.

Inspirationsnack # 35

Beautiful stopmotion animation. 60.000 pictures were taken, 9.600 were developed and printed and 1.800 pictures were shot over again. Respect for the work that went in to the project.

Fashionable packaging design #6

OK. I grew up in the second wave of punkrock. By that time the Sex Pistols did no longer exist. Sid Vicious had already died, but we enjoyed the music. Although a little suspicious, because of how commercial it had gotten. (or should I say how commercial it always had been?).
Now, after about 2500 revivals and anniversary tours to cash in on old succes, they created Sex Pistols The Perfume. Although it might be the ultimate sell out of Punk Rock I can smile about concept. They did it again; annoying a lot of people who still believe Punk Rock is rebellious way of live and not a (fashionable) commercial product.

Just for old time sake:

Fashionable packaging design #5

Heineken collaborated with French designer/artist Ora-Ïto to create this limited edition Icone Pure special bottle. 100% sustainable aluminum as Heineken claims.
It’s not the first time that Heineken works together with Ora-Ïto. He has also created the Paco bottle in 2004 and the 2006  Iconic bottle.

Here’s some examples of older collaborations The Paco and Iconic bottle.

Embossed Drawings

This is some work of German artist Simon Schubert I stumbled upon while I was searching for images of folded paper. He uses a folding technique to crate these amazing embossed surrealistic ‘drawings’. Take some time to also have a look at his other work on his website.

Disturbing…

… but very nicely and clever made commercial for Stay drenched soda.
